Cast Steel Floating Ball Valve
Floating ball valve use casting steel to produce, which is widely applied for low pressure and economic working condition. Through soft sealing material like PTFE, RPTFE or other seat insert, our floating ball valve can achieve good sealing performance when transfer up steam fluid to down steam. The valve can be design with anti-blowout stem, locking device, anti-static device and firesafe device,etc. Our ball valve is customized fully in compliance with client's requirements.

Q: How to select materials of seat insert?
A: In common condition, we will quote as your material requirements. If the seat insert our clients select is not suitable for your working condition(medium, temperature, pressure), we help you to change the suitable one for you. The working medium will directly touch with seat insert and working temperature and pressure will impact the sealing performance of seat insert, so our technical team will choose the most fittable material of seat insert for you based on it working condition. Below 150#, PTFE. 150# to 600# RPTFE. 600# to 900# Delvon. 900# to 1500# Devlon or Nylon. 2500# PEEK.
Q: The differences between soft seat and metal-to-metal seat
A: In the ball valve industry, we will select the suible seat sealing type based on its working condition. Soft sealing type is more often been used in middle pressure and temperature condition, metal-to-metal seat is more suitable for high pressure and temperature. The soft sealing material can achieve good sealing performance based on its elastic deformation. But metal-to-metal seat has high-temperature resistance and high friction durablity, can keep sealing performance under high temperature.
Q: The advantages of casting steel ball valve
A: In some working occasions where is low pressure and low temperature, and taking econimic elements into consideration, the casting steel floating ball valve is more likely to be selected to use in the water transportation. Because of low temperature and pressure, soft sealing material like PTFE can be used for wide working environment. And the delievry time for casting steel is shorter than forging steel. For the perspective of economic effect, the casting steel can only be applied in low pressure condition, if the pressure and temperature are high, our team is recommending to use metal-to-metal sealing structure.
