Classification of ball valve materials

The material of the ball valve can be divided into the following categories according to the material type:
1. Plastic ball valve
Ball valves made of plastic are lightweight, high strength and strong corrosion resistance, and are often used for the control of low-pressure and low-flow media. The main materials are polypropylene (PP), fluorinated polymer (PVDF), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), etc.
2. Stainless steel ball valve
The stainless steel ball valve has excellent corrosion resistance and can be widely used in chemical, petroleum, natural gas, pharmaceutical and other fields. Commonly used stainless steel materials are 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, etc.
3. Cast iron ball valve
The ball valve made of cast iron has a simple structure and affordable price, which is suitable for the control of some ordinary media. In cases where corrosion protection is required, organic coatings, rubber linings, cast stainless steel, etc. can be used.
4. Steel ball valve
The ball valve made of steel has good strength and toughness, and is suitable for the control of medium under high pressure and high temperature conditions, and the commonly used materials are carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.
