Selection of ball valve material

In the material selection of ball valves, the following factors are mainly considered:
1. Media
The medium is one of the first factors to consider when choosing a ball valve. Different media have different material requirements for ball valves. Generally speaking, the material of the ball valve used in strong corrosive media should be materials with good corrosion resistance, such as plastic, ceramic, stainless steel, etc. For some ordinary media used at room temperature and pressure, you can choose economical and cost-effective copper, cast iron and carbon steel ball valves.
2. Working pressure
Working pressure is also one of the factors to consider when choosing a ball valve. If the working pressure is high, the material of the ball valve needs to have sufficient strength and toughness. Steel ball valves have high strength and toughness, and are a good material choice to meet high-pressure working conditions. Under low pressure conditions, copper, cast iron, and plastic ball valves are a better choice.
3. Operating temperature
The operating temperature is also an important factor to consider when choosing a ball valve. Different materials behave differently at different temperatures. Plastic ball valves are usually suitable for room temperature, but when the temperature is high, cast iron or steel ball valves are optional.
